Book Review – Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Christie

I have never read any Agatha Christie before – never seen the film, never watched Hercule Poirot on the television, as it just seemed a little over-theatrical; silly little man with a moustache!

However, I went to see an Agatha Christie play at The Grand this year and was pleasantly surprised – the “over-the-topness” works in a theatrical setting.

Reading this book, you could see how it would play out, and the improbability made it inevitable, but I liked the way it fell into place. A good introduction to a classic author if, like me, you’ve never previously taken the time.
