Every week we browse through the list of new books coming to Leeds Libraries and pick out the ones that have caught our eye, both fiction and non-fiction. From bestselling chic lit, SciFi and historical novels to crime thrillers, paranormal romance and family saga, we bring you our latest acquisitions, including supersellers that go to all libraries.
Non-fiction this week ranges from two books with help for budding writers on how to craft a great story and how to go about getting published to the Incredible Spice Men’s book on using a myriad of spices in your cooking, Tapas Revolution on rustling up taps from your store cupboard and the Hairy Bikers bestselling diet book. There’s the new biograpghy of Usain Bolt and a doom-y book called Broke by David Boyle on the possible demise of the middle classes, and two great books for crafters, just in time to make some Christmas presents if you are good a sewing/making. Plus two books this week on Behind the Scenes at Downton Abbey and Lady Catherine and the Real Downton Abbey
It’s great doing the tweets because the amazing wide range of stock that we acquire in one week is brilliant. Follow us on Twitter @LeedsLibraries. We programme two or three tweets about new books to go out every day. There’s always a link to the catalogue to tell you where the book is located and so that you can reserve a book from the tweet 🙂
