World Book Night 2014’s list of 20 books that are to be given away free during the night of April 23, the UNESCO International Day of the Book is now announced. As usual volunteers will distribute the books across the UK to encourage more people to begin reading, or to widen their reading experiences. List of books already in stock @leedslibraries with links below! Featured is the cover of Ben Aaronovitch’s Rivers of London — this has got some fabulous ratings from Leeds Libraries readers
Organisers say the 2014 titles have been chosen to appeal to and inspire people who “haven’t yet been turned on” to reading, with an emphasis on books that might particularly interest teenagers and young adults.
