If you are like me you are beginning to think (and dream) of your summer holiday, you may also be thinking about your summer reading. I really like summer reading – for me it is an opportunity to do some lighter, frothier reading than I might do for the rest of the year. That dosn’t mean I don’t want good, I just want something that might make me smile or intrigue me while I am travelling, sitting by the pool or (sigh) lazing on the beach in the sun.
Of course we have lots for you to get your teeth into but generally the Richard and Judy recommendations are a good place to start for your summer reading. They have just announced their summer list and there is the usual combination of different genres, including romance, mystery and intrigue. Have a look at the titles below and get your summer reading list sorted early. Remember you can create your own lists of books that you want to read on our catalogue to help you.
And The Mountains Echoed by Khaled Hosseini
I Am Pilgrim by Terry Hayes
An Officer and a Spy by Robert Harris
The Lie by Helen Dunmore
Eeny Meeny by M.J. Aldridge
Dear Thing by Julie Cohen
Before We Met by Lucie Whitehouse
Mad About You by Sinead Moriarty
Reblogged this on All About A Book.
Thank you!
I’ve only read one on the Richard & Judy list, Before You Left, so far although there are several that were already on the TBR!
