10 great books for Young Adults

TroubleThere is a new prize for Young Adult books and 10 books are in the running. The Bookseller YA Book Prize 2015 of £2000  will be awarded at a ceremony at Foyles Charing Cross on March 19 2015.

The YA Book Prize was set up by The Bookseller Magazine, sponsored by story publishing site Movellas and in association with World Book Day and The Reading Agency.

Finding a voiceCharlotte Eyre, Children’s Editor for The Bookseller, said of the young adult fiction prize: “The shortlist reflects the wide diversity of YA books being written and published in the UK and Ireland at the moment – from horror and dystopia to realism and literary fiction. There are some experienced, seasoned authors on the list (David Almond, Marcus Sedgwick) as well as some really exciting debut authors (Louise O’Neill, Sally Green).”
